Burak Özcan
Co-Owner & Head Chef
Burak has nearly two decades of experience with catering events of all types. He started his career as a chef in the most luxurious five-star resorts across the Mediterranean before making his way to Dallas in 2009. After working with celebrity chef Stephan Pyles to open various high-end restaurant concepts, Chef Burak transitioned to leading culinary teams in full-service hotels across DFW. During that time he became an expert in executing both intimate and large-scale events. After opening the first Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen® location in 2019, Chef Burak began offering private events and catering services.
Chef Burak’s dedication to exquisite hospitality and his expertise with behind-the-scenes event logistics allow our clients to have peace of mind and focus on enjoying their event. Under Chef Burak’s leadership, Ferah Catering & Events received numerous industry awards in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.


Jeremy Berlin
General Manager & Co-Founder
Jeremy brings over 20 years of award-winning hospitality leadership, event, and sales experience to the team. Jeremy has managed large full-service hotels across the country, including multi-million-dollar renovations and the opening of new properties. During this time he gained expertise in managing Food and Beverage teams who executed events of all sizes. Jeremy has been a part of Ferah since the beginning, and he officially transitioned from his role in hotel executive leadership to managing our Southlake location full-time.
Stephanie Özcan
Co-Founder
Stephanie Ozcan manages marketing for the Ferah family of brands and designed the interior of Ferah's three restaurants: Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen® (Garland and Southlake) and Ferah Smokehouse & Cantina in Wylie, where we host celebrations and private events of all types. Serving as Catering Concierge, Stephanie works with clients, venues, and planners alike to build custom menus and plan unforgettable culinary experiences. An expert in curating stunning ambiance, Stephanie specializes in helping you create memorable meals for your guests.


Heidi Berlin
Community Relations Manager
Heidi Berlin is a vivacious people person who loves connecting with guests and members of our community. As Ferah's Community Relations Director, Heidi oversees community involvement in local events and sponsorships in Southlake and surrounding areas. You may also see Heidi supporting operations and visiting with guests during the hustle and bustle of service time.
London Stegman
Marketing Coordinator
London brings a background in graphic design and sales to the Ferah team. Early in her career, she gained valuable experience in the hospitality industry while completing her degree in Graphic Design, giving her a strong foundation in both creativity and service. Passionate about storytelling through design, London uses her skills to share the story of Ferah with guests in a way that is both engaging and authentic. If you’re planning a wedding or special event with Ferah, chances are London will be there to help streamline the planning process and ensure every detail reflects your vision.


Sanjay Desai
South Asian Cuisine Specialist
Chef Sanjay Desai met Chef Burak while working together at Samar by Stephan Pyles in Downtown Dallas. Sanjay brings over two decades of culinary experience to our team, specifically in South Asian cooking. Growing up in India, Sanjay realized his passion for cuisine at a young age. As a vegetarian himself, Chef Sanjay has a talent for making flavorful vegetarian dishes that impress even the most loyal meat lovers.
Tom Urann
Expert Mixologist
Tom Urann is Ferah's expert mixologist. Originally from Washington, Tom has spent the past six years in DFW. After years in restaurant management roles, Tom realized his true passion is creating an unforgettable experience at the bar. His management experience ensures you will receive exceptional service when you trust Ferah with your mixology and bartending needs.


Josh French
Director of Operations
Josh French brings over 25 years of hospitality experience to the team, spanning independent restaurants and award-winning hotels. Originally from Michigan, he moved to Dallas in 2011, bringing with him a deep passion for service and operational excellence. Over the years, Josh has developed a reputation for blending efficiency with an unwavering commitment to creating memorable guest experiences. With a focus on integrity, leadership, and growth, he is dedicated to making a positive impact both at Ferah and within the community.
Andrew Leonardo
Executive Chef
Andrew brings over a decade of food and beverage experience to Ferah, with a career that spans both front and back of house. While he began as a host at a country club, his passion for the culinary arts quickly led him into the kitchen, where he worked his way up to executive chef. His reputation for leadership and precision has taken him across the United States, supporting restaurants with his expertise and creativity. Andrew has also tested his skills in competition, most notably earning a spot in the 2023 World Food Championship to compete among top chefs from around the globe. Dedicated to both his craft and the next generation of talent, Andrew is passionate about mentoring young chefs and continuing to grow as a lifelong student of hospitality.
